REMINDER: Call for proposals for the inaugural Eureka! Institute @ UTS Practitioner Research Symposium: Deadline January 26, 2026.
The Eureka! Institute @UTS is inviting all staff and teachers to submit proposals to our inaugural Practitioner Research Symposium, to be held at UTS on May 9th, 2026. We welcome proposals for paper presentations, curated panels, workshops, and collaborative conversations. Responding to the theme, Navigating a rapidly shifting landscape in education: Schools as integral spaces for innovation and knowledge building, this symposium will bring together teachers, teacher-candidates, teacher-researchers, school leaders, and university faculty members in a lively and vital dialogue about teaching and learning in an era of unprecedented social, political, environmental and technological change. Class of 2025 Homecoming
On Thursday, December 18 at 4:00 p.m., join the Class of 2025 as they return to UTS for their homecoming. Enjoy appetizers and soft drinks while reconnecting with our most recent alumni and hear all the exciting things they have been up to since graduation.

Evans Library Newsletter - Issue #3
On Tuesday, students received Issue #3 of the Evans Library Newsletter. If you’d like to see what newsletter name won the vote or read other library updates (NYT! Bean Bag Chairs! Holiday Reading Challenge!), feel free to check it out on the homepage of the Evans Library site.
Winter Concert
A reminder that the Winter Concert is taking place on Tuesday, December 16. Performers will be using the 2nd floor classrooms as warm up and holding rooms, so all after school activities on that floor should plan on being done by 5 p.m.
UTSPA Funding Requests
The UTSPA request form is open to school activities that would like support for funding. The form can be found HERE and the deadline for this submission period is Friday, January 9, 2026. Good luck to all the applicants!
Congratulations to the Senior Girls Volleyball Team!
The Blues kicked off their season with two home-game wins against SFA and Redmond. The team also travelled to the Redmond Tournament on Friday and battled all the way to the finals—despite having only eight players available!
Special shoutout to Monica and Angela (S6) and our M3 call-up, Lyra, for their outstanding contributions!
The Blues wrap up their December schedule with a tournament at York Mills Collegiate this Friday. Go Blues!
