We invite you to take a few minutes to offer your anonymous feedback on the Report Card Comment Builder designed for UTS by Karen Liu, an MScAC intern from the University of Toronto’s Department of Computer Science. She will be using this data to support her culminating project for her program, and to continue making improvements to the report card software with IT.

F2, M3 and M4 classes will attend these sessions with their respective teachers. If you are teaching one of these sections, please take attendance and promptly bring your class to the auditorium. The Guidance Team will reach out with additional details for specific teachers.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Timing for Locks on Classroom Doors
Classroom doors can be unlocked using your fob’s extended unlock feature from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:10 to 8 p.m.
Please remember to disable the extended unlock feature with your fob whenever leaving a room empty. It is disabled from 12:30 to 1:10 p.m. to prevent students from accessing rooms that have been unintentionally left unlocked.
Please contact facilities@utschools.ca if a door is not cooperating
Granting Access to Rooms
Staff should use their fob's extended unlock feature to grant access to classrooms or meeting rooms.
Please avoid propping classroom doors open with the deadbolt, as it causes damage.
If the extended unlock feature is unavailable, please only prop doors open using the wooden doorstop wedge which should be available in all classrooms.
Please contact facilities@utschools.ca if your classroom lacks a doorstop.
Please ensure that doors are locked again whenever leaving a room where no other staff member is present.
L1 Basement Door Should be Closed
The Level 1 basement entrance/exit between buildings is accessible via fob from Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
These doors must remain closed at all times, except during entry or exit.
Staff members using these doors are responsible for ensuring they are securely closed after use.

Social Work at UTS - Updates and Access
This week, students, parents and caregivers are receiving information about Social Work at UTS and changes occurring. As Marleen Constantin starts maternity leave on Friday, December 4, please join us in welcoming Avi Magidsohn to the Social Work Team.
Avi will be filling Marleen’s leave and at UTS Monday to Friday.
Steph Stavro-Pearce and Joelle Therriault remain available to support students as needed.
To book an appointment, students can email social.work.staff@utschools.ca, email any Social Worker directly, and/or visit their appointment calendar and choose a time that works.
An updated Pathways to Support document will be provided in staff mailboxes to reflect the above changes.
We remind students that like physical health, we all have our mental health to care for and consider.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to connect.
SOCk Drive Coming Up! Also, Cardboard Boxes!
We’re excited to announce that this year’s SOCk drive will be in support of Covenant House! Covenant House is one of Canada’s largest agencies serving youth who are homeless, trafficked or at risk.
If you’d like to donate, please bring in:
Hygiene items (smaller sizes preferred)
New socks and undergarments
Gently used clothing (sized to fit age 16-24)
Non-perishable food items
Also, if you are expecting any deliveries in the coming weeks, please bring your cardboard boxes (anything that’s roughly the size of a banker's box) to Room 254. The SOCs will be boxing up the donations to be dropped off before we leave for winter break.
