Teacher Planning Notes F2 Wanakita, S6 Kintail and F1 Day Trip Camps
Teachers who teach F1, F2 or S6 classes on any of the days their classes will be away are on Standby Coverage for the periods they would normally teach those grades. If you are on another class field trip for another grade and not available for standby coverage, please indicate that you are unavailable in the data hub as soon as possible.
If you are not supporting field trips or experiential education, please be sure to be available during your standby coverage. We will do our best to ensure teachers know their coverage assignments prior to the periods they are needed. There are a lot of moving parts next week and you may be called for coverage during all of the classes you normally teach if you are not already assigned to supporting other programs. Thank you in advance for all of the parts you play in supporting programs.
For teacher with S6 classes with some S5 or Middle grade students, please either:
Let Jenny (jpittlainsbury@utschools.ca) know you will be working with the non-S6 students in your classroom while the S6s are away and we will not give you another coverage or
Consult with Rebecca Courtney first and if there is room in the library, provide the list of students to Rebecca and the main office and ask your (S5/Middle) students to sign in at the main office and then report to Ms. Courtney the library for a study period.
Teachers who are away at camp and have a few S5 or Middle grade students in their M4 classes may also provide the attendance to the main office, instruct their S5 or Middle grade students to report for attendance to the main office and indicate that they should proceed from the Main office and sign in at the library with Rebecca Courtney. Please ensure that you consult with Rebecca before choosing this option, and the library has room to accommodate the students. Please also let your non-S6 students know the plan.
