Food Safety and Handling Guidelines
The UTS food safety and handling guidelines outline the expectations and provide food service and food preparation guidance for classes and UTS events. If you have any questions, please contact jpittlainsbury@utschools.ca and paula.jack@utschools.ca.
There will be time at the May 8 staff meeting for discussion about the guidelines.
Student Safe Arrivals
Starting Monday, April 7, the Main Office will be calling classroom phones for safe arrivals rather than visiting classes in person. Thank you for all of your work to ensure the safety of UTS students.
Preliminary Important Dates Have Been Shared with UTS Families

A Message for Current S5 Teachers
S5 students are in the process of meeting with their counsellors about their postsecondary plans for next year. They have been advised not to approach anyone at this time with a reference letter request for next year's cycle. Reference requests will be made toward the end of May or early June following a process that will be outlined to students in mid-May. If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Stoeckl, Director of University Counselling, at andrea.stoeckl@utschools.ca.
UTS Charity Week
Today is the last day to participate in UTS Charity Week, fundraising for Socks 4 Souls Canada. Thank you to staff who have generously donated items, funds, and more. Auction items can be viewed and bid on [here].
Auction closes Friday April 4, 11:59 p.m.
Winners will be announced next week and will be required to bring cash to pick up their items from the UTS Main Office.
Accepting UTSPA Funding Applications
The UTS Parents' Association provides funds for student initiatives, activities and events that benefit the UTS community.
To apply for this funding opportunity, submitted requests must be accurately completed and have the approval of a UTS advisor. Submissions received by Wednesday, April 9 will be considered for this round of UTSPA grants.
