Coming Up

M4 Wanakita Camp

January 22 to 24

Teachers who teach M4 classes on any of the days their classes will be away are on standby coverage for the periods they would normally teach those grades.

Please be sure to be available during your standby coverage. We will do our best to ensure teachers know their coverage assignments prior to the periods they are needed.

For teacher with M4 classes with some M3 or Senior students, please either:

  • Let Jenny Pitt-Lainsbury know you will be working with the non-M4 students in your classroom while the M4s are away and we will not give you another coverage or

  • Consult with Rebecca Courtney first and if there is room in the library, provide the list of students to Rebecca and the Main Office and ask your (M3/Senior) students to sign in at the Main Office and then report to Ms. Courtney in the library for a study period.

Teachers who are away at camp and have a few M3 or Senior students in their M4 classes may also instruct their M3s and Senior students to report for attendance to the Main Office and then sign in at the library with Rebecca Courtney, as long as you consult with Rebecca first to ensure the library has room to accommodate the students, and you let your non-M4 students know the plan.

Lockdown Drill

January 21@ 2 p.m.

There will be a lockdown drill Tuesday, January 21 at 2 p.m. Please review the lockdown procedures. Please note that, according to Toronto Police Service recommendations, when the lockdown alarm sounds, staff members in classrooms and offices should open the door, do a quick sweep of the hallway, quickly ensure anyone in the hallways comes into the room, then close, lock and secure the door to prevent anyone from entering or exiting.

Get Your Cutlery Here!

The cutlery in the staffroom has been replenished. If you use any of the utensils provided please be sure they make it back to the staff room for others to use.
